NATURA RANGE
The Natura Range of bedroom furniture is handcrafted using quality European Elm timber.
This range was specifically designed for the Australian market and presents great value for money.Aesthetic Characteristics European elm is a beautiful coloured wood, highly grained and with a distinctive pattern. Today it is most frequently used for furniture and it is especially popular due to its natural warmth. Used across the ages The contrasting size of pores and different grain patterns means that elm has a very special appearance and a quality finish that provides a shimmering lustre. These timber features first attracted furniture craftsmen when building traditional English Windsor chairs. However, it was the elms stability and resilience to splitting that encouraged the craftsmen to use this timber for many, many years. Q. Does all solid timber perform equally? A. No! Many manufacturers use adjectives such as solid and hardwood to describe timber furniture. However, whilst timber such as pine and rubberwood are solid they certainly do not have the long lasting qualities of elm.
European Elm CharacteristicsEuropean elm has unique qualities that make it ideally suited for use in fine crafted furniture. Durable: Elm is hard, tough and elastic. Resilience to spliting: Due to elm’s hardness it tends not to crack and is very difficult to split. Finish: The fine grain of elm provides an attractive finish that seasons well with age. The Natura Range includes a 12 Month written Guarantee.
